To be honest, if you can put out a team with that level of quality, then a game shouldn't really be called off. That side is still more than good enough to win the game.

Im not disagreeing with you on that but its missing the point.

There should be a fixed set of rules that apply to all clubs, regardless of how good/crap your squad is. Otherwise its down to someone to sit and think oh Chelsea have 13 quality players left, thats ok. Burnley have 13 awful players left, better call it off.

Crazy stuff....amazing how the biggest league in the world can be run this poorly....what the hell are the rules for covid (nearly 2 years into it)....5 players out?, 6 players?....its a simple thing for the PL to clarify...

Its already turned the Christmas fixtures into a joke... potentially unfair matches will be played between a team playing 3 games in 7 days against a team only playing 1 game

It's a total farce mate. What it has done though is shown the premier league up for what it actually is, a mess.

Supposedly the RS have had 5 go down with Covid one of them being Salah, so even if the prem wasn't thinking of calling the game off they will now after Klopp has been on the phone to them.

The EPL will not only cancel the game but declare a victory for them and give them the 3 points.
