Today’s Football 2021/22 Season

Not often we agree, but I find City awful to watch.

The football is extremely technical and difficult to play. It is also tedious to watch. They've fully morphed into Spain around 2010 where it went from patient possession looking to score to possession so that the other team doesn't have the ball to do anything to hurt you.

Nah, anyone who thinks City are fun to watch just hasn't paid attention since about 2019. That is obvious. They're a good nap nowadays.

What are you talking about? They’ve played the best football in the country by a long way for about 5 years. He also had probably the best club football side of all time at Barcelona playing football out of this world.

People like different styles of football, granted, but if you can’t appreciate the football City have been playing then I’m not sure what you’re looking for in a football team. They have everything.

Indeed. These last 2 seasons watching them play is like watching paint dry.

I wish Pep would switch it up! I mean the players he has at his disposal.... So many things he could try.

Barcelona had Messi to put a point on everything. This side does not have that. They had De Bruyne but he hasn't been fit as much lately. They go in circles for long stretches. That isn't enjoyable to watch.

I think he’s talking about enjoying watching them as a neutral, I don’t think he is denying the effectiveness of their style. Tbh I also find them very tedious and borderline frustrating to watch sometimes. They nearly threw 2 points away today because they didn’t bother trying to score a second goal for the last 20 minutes against 10 men.

That's what I'm also saying... He has every type of player he could ever want. He could bring a different formation and completely different tactics every match if he wanted to.

But I guess its a case of: If it's not broken, don't fix it.

Exactly. They're still a top, top side. That isn't in dispute.

But his point was about City fan attendance at the grounds. I don’t think you’ll find a single City fan who thinks their football is boring.

This is just another example of these sly underhand digs against City, not as obvious as Evertheoptimist but always there from that poster. The constant defence of anything Klopp does, the ‘yes but’ whenever City are being praised for winning, the bashing of Everton regardless of whatever we do.

Mate I do not defend everything Klopp and the RS do except to you. Think about why that might be.
