It's not effort, but definitely mentality. They've lacked bravery in possession and not been organised enough at the back.

At this point it's obligatory to point out that Arsenal have one of the youngest lineups in the league. Their fans would have you believe they will learn from this experience and improve for it.

No they just aren't good enough to handle it. But they're also right to try anyway if they want to get better.

I personally don't think any team can win at Anfield playing that style of football. It's the wrong gameplan against the wrong team.
