Fair play to Fernandes to be honest
Rare to see players jump in the way of the train for the manager like that these days
Am I right in thinking Hodgson played Eze deeper than Warburton did at QPR?Olise is terrific, has been excellent but not yet built for week in week out PL games. The fact that Vieira realises this and doesn’t just throw him him shows maturity. Plus Eze is not a winger.
Yeah, I get your point, but I am not a fan of players or managers going full "mea culpa" to the fans and expecting absolution.Fair play to Fernandes to be honest

I was 11 and is it my memory playing tricks, but I remember it as a Friday evening, is that right? Was in the pub watching this, a mate jumped on the bar shouting yes,yes
landlord threw him out, happy day that ?
Yes, that is right. Of course Vieira May start him in a more advanced position and if he switches the shape either Edouard / Ayew / Benteke could be at risk. Under Roy we were “ one shape fits all.”Am I right in thinking Hodgson played Eze deeper than Warburton did at QPR?
I have it in my, admittedly limited, mind that Eze played across the attacking mid positions at Loftus Road but seemed to start from deeper positions under Hodgson.
Was a Friday. I watched in a pub as well full of RS. BlissI was 11 and is it my memory playing tricks, but I remember it as a Friday evening, is that right?
Appreciate the reply, thank you. I think the lad has such talent he can play pretty much anywhere and be a difference maker. Oh, what it must be to have options.Yes, that is right. Where does Eze play then in this system?Olise is terrific, has been excellent but not yet built for week in week out PL games. The fact that Vieira realises this and doesn’t just throw him him shows maturity. Plus Eze is not a winger.
You are spot on mate....watched it in the pub after playing 5 a side....absolutely brilliant....scenes ???????I was 11 and is it my memory playing tricks, but I remember it as a Friday evening, is that right?
I watched it on tv which was a novelty in itself, because it felt at the time like they only screened cup finals and the odd European cup game. Maybe that was just my mum scheduling what we watched. Was a Friday. I watched in a pub as well full of RS. Bliss![]()
