I don’t think that’s a foul but relying on “got the ball first” is pathetic as we’ve seen all season that that’s no longer a consideration and the follow through can be deemed the foul - just different rules every week.

They have it both ways now, common sense means it’s not a free kick but they cover themselves by having rules which can give that against teams outside the top 6
They’ve rested their entire midfield, first choice right back and best forward, and Newcastle can’t get anywhere near them.

Tbf when you have 4-5 exceptional forwards, resting one probably shouldn’t throw you off your game all that much.
TAA is a big miss for them but I’d probably back myself to get a bit of joy up against ASM and Matt Targett so they could afford to give him a breather.
