He just sees them as a stepping stone. This is the problem with ex Liverpool players, they can never break the bond ever. They’ll always prefer Liverpool to win than whatever team they’re playing for or managing.

Lampard is the biggest Chelsea player and fan there is, but I’ve got no doubt whatsoever that he wants nothing but 3 points for Everton when we play. When Villa line up against Liverpool I wouldn’t put it past Gerrard throwing the game because that lot winning the league is more important to him than Villa winning the game.
