Again, context matters greatly here. Real Madrid were 3-1 up going into their home game and they were very much relaxed going into their home game and much less prepared for Chelsea's onslaught. The home game against City? For them, this is their biggest game in many years at the Bernabeu and their fans will be up for it, it won't slip.
Most football fans don't really understand context.
Predictable how, who predicted real Madrid or Villarreal would be thereThe predictability is that there are english and spanish teams in the semi finals. Again. Care to have a wager that next seasons semi finals will also have a couple of English and spanish teams? Maybe Bayern or PSG just to mix it up every so often, but other than that - predictable
Football goes in cycles, late 70s early 80s English teams won it 6 times on the bounce, when only one club per country were in it. Without checking Im sure Italian and Spanish teams dominated certain periods. The predictability is that there are english and spanish teams in the semi finals. Again. Think Real will be there or thereabouts with MbappeAnd that English dominance would of continued all the way through the 80’s but we know what stopped that…
Looking at it today I honestly don’t see clubs from anywhere but England dominating for quite a while

I agree, but you know eventually they will become the best side in Europe again, they aren’t that far off.Think they’ll need to make changes to their midfield tbh. Camavinga looks to be a very good bit of business and on course to be a top player, but I can’t see where they are finding the next Modric/Kroos partnership. Both still got a bit left in the tank but not enough to push Madrid to these deep ventures in Europe each year.
Benzema having the season of his life at the tail end of his career, but can he repeat this ?
They’ll need more than Mbappe unless they are banking on Rodrygo stepping up to his potential.
Still I think they’ll need to really look to their midfield if they’re to keep up this form in the coming seasons
All sneaking in one by one; like Frodo into Mordor.I wonder if the Villarreal coach got to the ground in one piece?
