That's fairly selective to be fair. They have also signed a ton of quality in the last 3 years, such as Tielmans, Preat, maddision, Perreria etc. and sold (maguire, chilwell, drinkwater, Mahrez, Schlupp & Kante) for about £250 million.

One thing that baffles me is how the got Tielmans unopposed, he is phenomenal

Yeh and we’ve also signed Richarlison, James Rodriguez, Digne, Allan, DCL and Holgate for less than £5m combined.

You ignoring that is also being selective.

They have a good starting XI, so do we. Their backup options are largely average, so are ours.

Unless you class players like Mendy and Christian Fuchs world beaters.

Yeh the whole point of my original post was to point out they’d also made some bad signings? I assumed that was obvious.

I think it went unnoticed (and supposedly he was stinking the place out at Monaco) because he went to Leicester in the January on loan and they made it permanent in the Summer.

I'm sure either Arsenal or United were interested but couldn't guarantee him first team football (maybe due to his form at Monaco. He'll go to the very top imo
