I hardly want to add to the conspiracies about doping etc, but earlier in the match I was on Twitter and one of the things trending was Liverpool 3 Arsenal 1. I don't know how to screenshot and wish I did because at that point it was 1-1 and thought it looked a bit odd. Is it a significant scoreline in that fixture? My favourite was 1-2...

Guardiola has a blindspot when it comes to defending and while Arteta looks to treat it far more seriously he seems to have a blindspot when it comes to David -

Trent has got away with about 3 of these on separate occasions now. They know they’re not going to get a red card for it though so they keep doing it.

Tierney and Holding were much worse today

Tbf Tierney is a left back and playing him in a three on the left is out of position, he's not used to it and struggled.

Luiz has no such excuses in the centre Holding is poor but then he's hardly the experienced performer David is supposed to be. The centre of the three is normally key for marshalling the two beside him, he's normally the one you depend on to get the system working correctly.

Unfortunately Arteta gave the job to the hapless Luiz.

Leno was awarded marginally lower rating on the ratings app I have, but Luiz achieved a lower rating than all the other 20 players on the pitch, and while ratings are largely subjective and can vary enormously he's never been good at the job he's paid for, defending.
