It's weird because that team has some shocking players mixed with some decent ones so I don't think they should be this bad. Which means you look at Parker who everyone seems to rate.

Trouble is that once you're tagged a "keep teams up" specialist, it's hard to move up. The football equivalent of being typecast.

It's why Silva was so aggressive about climbing the ladder - which carries its own risk of moving too far, too fast and ending up out of football.

Point being if Dyche wants to move up he can try real football. No team is going after CL with a manager whose teams peak in the mid 40s for goals scored.

I remember years ago ( with Dyche already there ) seeing interviews with him and owners about not spunking the Prem money and investing it in training pitches and facilities etc so the club could cope for years to come.
