When I was in Scotland years ago, I spent the hour before bed most evenings trying to decipher the rules of cricket without result.

Before this current crop the best American player was either Donovan who spent two months of his prime in Europe or Dempsey who spent a single season playing in a top half side. It's pretty different from what the English have.
