These kind of performances aren’t even shocking coming from City I don’t think. They’ve been capable of a couple of these a season for the last few years now.

Yeah can see that. But 40m? Cant say im an expert on bournemouth or ake but when i did see them i couldnt say i was thinking there's a class player in a poor side. Classic pep signing imo. Went for a player who looks ok on the ball but cant do the basics as an actual defender.

This Tika Taka thing doesn’t really seem to work anymore, I can’t think of any real top teams anymore who are playing it. It’s too easy to work out in that you set an aggressive press, but a bit deeper than usual so they can’t exploit gaps being made by silly pressing, you catch them in possession when you lay a trap for them then break explosively and the team playing Tika taka can’t really do anything

I agree with you, I think Ake would be a good signing for someone like us for example, but you won’t win a league with him in your first team realistically

Could already be too far behind liverpool by the time they have everyone back and settled in....dias should have been signed a month ago for starters...

Also, you can add better players, that's something Pep has always been capable of doing....but their set up is ridiculous, they are still leaving the backline completely overexposed...pep has done nothing to address this....when you compare how Klopp changed things up at liverpool to give them more defensive strength, pep is continuing to be tactically inept

Ake is not the issue with City’s defence.

Their defence was an issue last season, it always has been under pep, just highlighting how blind he is to that by targeting a defender who can't defend, but does score goals. If he didn't score goals, i don't anyone would notice ake.
