If he's not good enough for a leaky Chelsea defence why is he good enough for us ?

He may not suit their system or not be at the top of Lampard's list; also, the issue could be a problem with the coaching rather than the individual players.

I'm not saying he's great and exactly what we need, however if Brands and Ancelotti do want him (it's mostly speculation isn't it?) then I'd trust their judgement.
