Think the table will show a reasonable gap between him and Bruce and Sam. I don't think Saints squad is very good. They could go down with worse management.
They wouldn't be wrong necessarily to sack him, but it definitely could backfire too. The manager before him is managing Velez Sarsfield now.
Bruce or Allardyce at Southampton would have them exactly where he does, bang in the middle of the table. Their squad has a few really good players in it, the likes of Ings, Ward-Prowse, Walker-Peters. Even the likes of Redmond, McCarthy and of course Walcott are solid pros. There is absolutely no reason other than crap management that they should be below the likes of Leeds,, Wolves or West Ham (even if they weren't having the season they're having).
