My childhood memories of Everton in the early 70s was that we never seemed to win at Molineux or St James's Park, both of which always seemed to be covered in fog!

I was more mid 80’s when we seemed to play Sheffield Wednesday or Middlesbrough in midweek cup replays every week !

True, we only scored the five against Burnley under super Marco Silva boxing day 2018.

Could it be that United away game where we drew 4-4 in 2012?

Forgot that Burnley game. Yeah could be that 4-4 - I remember a few times we've put three past Sunderland and Newcastle away, possibly Villa as well, struggling to think of too many occasions we've hit four away.

Time ran out to edit the previous post:

A quick Google tells me the last time was in the league Cup vs Lincoln in August 2019 then in the same competition to Barnsley, in 2015.

We scored four away to Young Boys that season in the February, and beat Stevenage 4-0 in the FA Cup a season prior, and a season before that (January 2012) smashed the mighty Cheltenham 5-1 same competition.

Then the last time we scored four away in the Premier League actually was against United in that game, April 2012 - one week after Andy Carroll scored to put us out of the FA Cup at Wembley when Liverpool had the world class Brad Jones in goal.

(all away games of course)
