Nope we’ll still be 10th if we lose, 7th with a win

Fab. Top half. Will look great next to "Magnificent 7th" and "Great Escapes" in my DVD collection.

Just can't believe it's unravelled so quickly. Wasn't expecting much beyond the derby but Newcastle are showing 10x more fight than we've done the past five games. We must be literally the only club one or two red cards / injury away from total armageddom.

Sheff are toast. WBA's next six will finish them and I feel Fulham are too inconsistent to threaten us. But we can't rely on others to lose to achieve safety.

You genuinely think we are in a relegation battle and are relying on others to get relegated so we don't?

Amazes me how clubs like WBA dont just hire Big Sam - guaranteed to keep you in the league but would rather persist backing lame ducks like Bilic.
Promoted clubs tend to stick with the men that got them there. I don’t see Allardyce ever managing in the top flight again unless he gets a Championship team promoted

Just in from work just seen result of wolves what happened at the end a red a pen and red what happened there

Until we get to that 40 pt mark I rule nothing out. That is the mindset of my generation, having sat through 25 years of trophyless misery and survival on goal difference. Are we playing like a side looking up or looking over their shoulders?

These days, I don't blame every Tarquin and Jayden out there opting for the dark side. See them everywhere in town (pre-covid), they've all got THAT hair (curly top, bugger all on the sides) in their tight fitting under armor shyt and pushbikes.

Thank Christ I live on the ground floor. I'd just like a few weeks out of my own head tbh....

Aye mate Everton can certainly ruin the old fun out of football and turn weekends a bit crap.

All we can do is hope today is one of those rare days where everything comes together and we play like Everton 85 and grab the 3 points.

The best thing about this forum though mate is if Everton (or curly headed rs meffs) are doing your head in, there's always a decent thread to post in about it.

I think we'll get stuffed tonight which is my natural Everton optimism shining right through. But up until 8pm I'm gonna let my little pea brain imagine a 6-0 win ;)

Foul by Semedo on John McGinn in the box , El Ghazi scores from the spot for Villa in the 94th minute. Joao Moutinho got sent off in the 95th minute for a second yellow. Luiz got sent of in the 85th minute for a second yellow. There were 11 yellow cards in the game, 2 of those being second yellows leading to the red cards for Moutinho and Luiz.

With the fighting qualities of our brave lionhearts, we might HAVE to rely on that!.

Very tough month ahead for us, so whilst we won't be going down we're highly likely to be in a numerically low position in the league come January.

West Ham had similar doomesday predictions made about them prior to their nightmare run but after murdering Wolves and Leicester and drawing with Spurs and City, the former a miraculous late comeback in a 3-3 draw, they've come out the other side smelling of roses and more than ok.

Hopefully we follow West Ham's example and prove the doomsters wrong again.

At times like this I hanker after the security we had with Moyes, he never challenged the big boys and never won anything but almost always finished in a respectable position with few alarms. Don't get me wrong I don't want him back just hate the sight of us sinking down the league. Leeds are only three behind and very much down there with Arsenal in a similar position.
