Personal opinion but I don't treat skin colour and nationality as the same in the grand scale of history.
So those Irish people who could not own land in their own country, and who starved despite growing plentiful crops that they were forced to export to England were in a good situation?

I wasn't against them walking off the first place? You'll have to read back to last nights discussion to see which side we were all on.

I just think saying "if he was white this wouldn't have happened" is a very obvious comment because white people don't have a history of racial persecution. If coloured people didn't have a history of racial persecution last night wouldn't have happened either.
Look I'm not trying to wade into a discussion 12 hours too late so I'll leave it here in that regard.

I am a great believer in personal opinion , so no matter what anyone thinks about it , the person in question was angry at the comment so the reaction is justified and it should be treated as potentially racist as a result. There is far too much on behalf of offence these days, if they personally thought it was racist then that is all that matters.

Inappropriate Language
I know. Friend of mine works in China. Zero teaching qualifications...got a job teaching English. Works for a magazine company now.
Yes we’re utterly crap with languages here. My Mum’s Norwegian (doesn’t support LFC) and she made sure my brothers and I spoke that at home (not one of the more useful languages admittedly) but also forced us to learn French from the age of 4 (felt like abuse at the time) in an afternoon class twice per week after school. Consequently I had a massive head start on everyone when it came around to actually doing a language at school. No I am not a posh [Poor language removed].

Probably the best time to walk off with no crowds, but the massive tv exposure will maybe push UEFA to start being proactive.
Remember when the fella got a bigger fine for paddy power undies than some racist actions.

City were fined more for being 'up to 60 seconds late' on the pitch after half time than Porto were for racist chants.
It's a joke but it's not a funny one...

Haha definitely. I wish I paid more attention in French lessons as a kid. But Kirkby is far removed from the Champs Elysees so you knock it on the head pretty quick.

I'd say 90% of any working class kid or kids in Britain in general don't think about learning a second language. Just not in the culture.
