I hate football

Northern Ireland were so unlucky it was horrible to watch.

Incredibly bad luck on that second goal, he didn't intend that outstretched foot to send the ball straight up in the air with the keeper falling into the net - you just couldn't make that up.

Really support Northern Ireland (after England) and felt devastated for them, totally gutting.

One of the best 5 minutes I've ever had watching football, followed by one of the worst 10 minutes. Such is football.

Sounds daft to say it, but scoring seemed to wreck our performance. We seemed to completely panic and the bounce of the ball went against us. For 80 mins it was a standard Koeman performance, but then we fell apart.

De kuip is a great place to watch a game. Nice to still have these grounds with a bit of history, atmosphere and soul. Few and far between these days.

Sorry for Michael O Neill who I really rate. He did a great job with Shamrock Rovers and has done likewise with NI.

Proper boss old ground. Looks like it's held together with sticky tape, great atmosphere, even the walk up from the station is special.

Only second Dutch ground I've been to but I'd rank it above Ajax tbh.

On to Eintrach Frankfurt for the next one next month....

PSV is a similar kind of affair to De Kuip, I'm going back there at the end of the month.

In Belgium, Anderlecht is probably the nicest "old" ground, lots of red brick and such. Club Brugge's stadium is a soulless monstrosity and my local team, AA Gent, have a really nice new stadium. Great atmosphere and looks pure space age all lit up at night.

England line up

Pickford Trippier Rose Keane, Maguire, Henderson, Rice, Mount, Kane, Sancho, Sterling

Not so keen on that defence, even the full backs never mind the centre

Chilwell should be in and Gomez too for me - no pace in the centre, so one slow centre back isn't desperate but when both are slow on the turn you have problems

Tbh these qualifiers don't really matter and could easily have promised club managers one game only

Win draw or even lose 126 to nil and England will qualify

Eintracht is a great stadium but very different from De Kuip. A lot more modern. Tremendous atmosphere when Eintracht are playing, not sure how it is for international games
