To Boo or not to Boo?

Hmm.

Who's to say he has been offered more money at Newcastle? If that was solely the case, wouldn't we have matched the slight wage increase to keep a £4m asset at the club? - I can't see much of a difference in terms of wage offered regardless.

I'd say the likelihood is that it was first team football that appealed to him, and a four year contract...

Of course, all this would have been prevented if Everton had followed procedure. *cringe*

I take your point, and maybe wages didn't tell the whole story, but no matter how noble his reasons were for moving, I will still hate him for the way he went about it. He could have a.) informed the club that he was looking for first team football elsewhere INSTEAD of making the initial verbal agreement or b) signed the new deal with us as he had agreed to verbally, and asked to be loaned out, possibly to newcastle or c) informed the club that he no longer intended to honor the initial verbal agreement, so the club would have known to make a written offer so we'd receive our money. If he had done any of the following, I wouldn't mind, but the fact is that taking advantage of the technicality saved Newcastle a lot of money, and any agent in the world would leverage that fact to get a fatter check for the player. Essentially, its the money that Newcastle would have paid us, but its probably going to Gosling and his agent instead, indirectly stealing from the club all because Kenwright and Moyes took them on their word.

There won't be time to boo.

Carsley will come from the stands thinking he's Cahill and snap his posh little leg in half.

1) If I thought he was going to amount to a fantastic player for us...yes, I boo.

2) Scored a great goal against the [Poor language removed]...no, I don't boo.

3) Hated the way he left us...yes, I boo.

4) Will probably play more for Newcastle than he ever would have for us and on better wages...no, I don't boo.

5) Also was probably following agent's advice....no, I don't boo.

Not booing him just barely wins out over booing him.

I may just shout out a big F&*K OFF to him though.....
