To Boo or not to Boo?

It is in my eyes when he f8cks over the club that took a chance on him.

We took a chance on him for his benefit did we?

Nah. We used him just like every player, and then failed to respect him enough to make sure we gave him the written offer of a contract.

At which point he simply decided to go to another club, take his chances elsewhere. Probabaly a club who wouldn't force him to play on with a serious injury.

Or maybe he is a money grabbing asshole.

But i don't know and to be honest i don't care. Either way i'm not gonna boo him for daring to leave.

I might call him an idiot for going to Newcastle but i'd thank him for his efforts here.

Booing is just stupid.

Guess some people just need a bad guy to take things out on.

Bollocks.

Basically mate. Dan Gosling and his [Poor language removed] house agent have took advantage of the situation. Sounded out Newcastle and said look, Everton are going to miss this deadline for the players contract, there is a verbal agreement but not a legal one. You want him for free, then you double his wages at Everton.

Anything other than that is just hippy bullshit and a desire to defend the undefendable.

I think gosling is a little [Poor language removed] who should be totally ashamed of himself by treating the club and manager that plucked him from obscurity the way he has!!!! well dan i hope you like obscurity and the lower leagues, i would definetely boo him.....

I won't boo the lad.

I'd have left if I was him.

I'm not going to boo the lad.

I'm gonner sing "there's only one MAGGIE GUY-EYE ONE MAGGIE GUYEYE" as soon as the blert goes near the ball.

Then laugh at all the geordies .... ing all over their screens over his signing.

When Guyeye to me looks the real deal...

Not the verbal arrangement then ****s off - deal like Gosling.

Oh you were there so what actually happened is that Gosling wanted to leave and got the best deal for himself, as did his agent.

Guess Everton never get the best deal for themselves do they.

Well I won't boo either. Just like I don't boo Rooney.

But he left because Everton trusted him too much. If he hasn't gone to Newcastle for more money then i'll eat my hat.

Depends how bitter and twisted your view is. We don't have many players who Evertonians wish well once they've left do we? It's almost embarrassing.

Dan Goslings known for being a good guy.

Some need to take a step back and look at the situation and put yourself in his shoes rather than seeing it as Black and White as "He left, JUDAS!!!!".

Everton penny pinch and drag their heals with offering a contract. A two year contract, This on the assessment of the health of a player, health/career jeopardised by an Everton club official telling him to jog off his injury. A two year deal, offered almost in reluctance, doesn't instil faith or confidence in the lads ability.

Not to mention that he'd struggle to get a game here.

Newcastle then offer the lad a chance to be a marque signing, a substantial signing on bonus with a four year contract.

As I say, if I was Dan Gosling - I'd have done the same. Those of you treated the same way in your profession would have done exactly the same. Win, win all round for him. First team football and job security.

My beef is at the club failing to protect a £4m asset. Plymouth must be pretty pissed as well!

Danny I usually agree with you but he's been a [Poor language removed].
