To be an Evertonian

Good to leave The Emirates knowing we're at their level now. But for a bit of luck we'd be right up there in the league but that apart we've managed to achieve some common respect from other fans this season that hasn't been there in the past. Anyone remember watching the Blues lining up against Henry and co praying our lads could keep it respectable?

United - terrorised them off the park at Goodison
City - enough said
Spurs - we had the better of the two games
Arsenal - as above. They scored after about 5 seconds at Goodison but generally we had their measure (Wiltshire apart in both games)
Chelsea - everyone including Fat Frank's dad would accept they got out of jail at Goodison. Their fans are hardly looking forward to us on the last day of the season if they need something from that game.

We just need to beat the red sh*te at Anfield to have really stepped up a level this year.

That's what I took from last night as well. We've now got enough quality to stand toe to toe with the top sides in the division & give them a game. As opposed to previous sides that would have got walloped if they attempted that tact, so had to sit deep & hope for a counter or a set piece.

the game at Goodison i thought they was really good, a lot better than us. they just got cocky defending a 0-1

Being an Evertonians, several years ago ther was a R C father Fitzharris living in Buckley,North Wales.at the end of his service he would always finish with the words "we will now say a little prayer for Everton" to which any r/s or manure fans or whatever had to sit there and listen in silence, absolutlely wonderful experience to see them
Squirming in their seats.
in the early 80s when things all Everton was dire Father Fitz was quoted saying "we need some Devine
Intervention" he went over to Goodison and sprinkled holy water at the four corners of the stadium
And as they say the rest is history,we won the cup and Kevin silver hands took the cup to Father Fitz at his
Local

Once Everton touches you nothing will be the same.

Although I always thought that quote was a bit like something from a statement in the Savile investigation.

My lad loves going the game, and he even writes about it in his school work.

Its more about the meeting his uncle's and Cousins in the pub, having a laugh and banter with them, them all loving him, and telling him stories.

From our seat in the Family enc, he can see about 10 of his family, in different parts of the ground

He loves it, Everton is his family.
