Minnow clubs just don’t understand……
Bask in the fume. Everyone is absolutely gutted we’ve survived and I’m loving it. Cry harder you mutants. Makes me hungrier for real success in the future.

They seem to be stuck between docking us points for a pitch invasion, or having accou nts that have been cleared as not in breach of FFP but their opinion is they should have failed.
99.99% of these blokes have 0 experience of accountancy it's worth saying too. Unlike the accounting professionals who would have initially signed off the accounts at EFC ends and then the PL end.
But Daz the plumber obviously knows more.
As much as we’ve committed an offence we’ve wrote off so much, that it won’t make it to court.
It’s desperate times, and they call for desperate measures. So it’s a shame Burnley and Leeds have stopped as low, but not our problem.
I have no doubt we’ve been up to some dodgy stuff, but the thing is we’ve been totally transparent about it over the past year and obviously already found a way to circumnavigate the rule book. The punishment would’ve come a long time ago if it was ever going to come. Since then we’ve towed the line regarding spending so there’s no new evidence against us that they can throw up.
They so called letter was sent in 10 days ago..the story breaks today. No mention of anything from Watford or Norwich .
Anyone would think the media are trying to stir more [Poor language removed] the weekend that's in it
Yes all true.
It's worth saying, 99% of companies do sort of dodgy stuff, to varying degrees. It's why we have accounting.
But yes, the club has pushed the envelope. Had the PL not agreed the accounts, we would be in a spot of bother. I still doubt it would be a points deduction, and were it to be, it would be next year.
Theyve been clever in working closely with the league, and getting them to agree it.
A concern for us, is it may be harder to get them to agree things moving forward as easily. But for the most part the PL tends to protect its members. There are lots of reasons for that, but its hard to argue against it. It gives a certain perception to the world.
It's why I've never really bought into the conspiracy against us. If they really wanted us down there would be easier ways than with refs and VAR.
A stark contrast with Burnley's owners, who used the £50 million they had in the bank as collateral to take out a loan to buy the club, thereby investing no money, and ensuring there's a fair chance they'll go bankrupt if they're relegated. Certainly no chance of them breaking the rules by actually spending money on the team!
