Well IMO it is. Everton FC is a business, the owners wont walk away millions of pounds down to please the fans. Thats just crazy talk.
The time to protest is when it continues to go downhill - performances, players out the door, bare bones... that is to say if, by the start of next season if we are looking like bottom half material and another 2-3 are out the door with cost cutting in mind and nothing coming in the other way to appease and alleviate the problem, then we have to make our feelings known. Right now there's a recession on - we're getting 34,000-35,000 through the door and still have a half-decent side. Maybe we're one or perhaps two players short but, let's be honest, losing Yobo, Yak, Gosling (and if he goes Vaughan) is no big deal. The income from sales anticipated (circa £15M) will help - so let's assume we get £5-10M to spend in the summer (assuming no further departures but you can factor in those if you like).
This squad is still strong and yes there are some players with aspirations of moving on (Heitinga, perhaps Billy who hasn't been a total success). So, hold your breathe and see if things improve..

Not going to kick off mate, just want a proper discussion with other blues about whats best to do.
There's no point in me saying we should do this so that can happen. Because i dont pretend to have the answers. But sitting back is not an option anymore. The board must rub there hads evey week and laugh at the lack of pressure we put on them. I'm telling you now nerly every other set of fans in the land would have protested by now. This simply isnt good enough.
i dont know what the future hold's, but this current situation can not stay the same.
As for protesting, it just shows the board that we will not stand for it anymore. As it is they just do what the fuck they want.
It's not about "growing balls", it's about being realistic. You tell me what a protest is going to achieve? Tell me the timeline of events?
You can't, because it all ends at the point where you realise Kenwright can't be budged. Once again, look at Mike Ashley at Newcastle - bigger protests than we could ever muster, yet he's still there. Ask yourself why.

I hear your protestations - are we entitled to be a challenger? Do we have the money? Haven't we already made it clear to Kenright that we want investment (I think this is mostly where you are going with this)?
Don't see how upsetting the apple cart and making Moyes feel pressurised (perhaps into spending unwisely to appease the vociferous and revolting fans) is going to help. We've had crises before and we'll come out of this one too.

But in all seriousness I think a protest at this time would be a little over top at this time. But the problems with the club just can't be ignored. The prem is an every growing league, if you don't improve your squad....you fall down the pecking order. I think that is what is happening to Everton......unless they go on a their usual run of tonking everybody......but they would have usually started that by now :/

I have to laugh when people say we dont do this sort of thing and 'it's for Kopites'. As Sharpy says, we got Johnson out...or was that my imagination when 10,000 Evertonians were screaming blue murder against Johnson at the end of the Coventry relegation decider, and then all the scally hanging off Johnsons Bentley a few months later after a board meeting to discuss the crisis that near saw Smith walk? And then there's the Goodison For Everton campaigners and later the KEIOC stuff.
One thing you cant do in the circumstance, where the board are sitting tight and not wanting out in a hurry, is to force them out. They have the full backing of the manager and the local media and wont be shifted. Any campaign would have to be more narrowly focussed than that. Forcing the club to widen the ownership of the club is the way to unsettle them. Nobody could reasonably object to that and it'd get lots of support and unite nearly all Evertonians.
Part of the reason why stuff like this is coming up now is that the club have made a huge error in stopping the AGM's. That in the past acted like a safety valve for them - yes, it was uncomfortable on the night, but it lanced a boil for them when BK did his usual smarm routine that fooled the majority present...again! Now those people are angry and starting online stuff like the Facebook effort...and more will follow. They've sown their own seed of discontent there. Oh, and the CEO's disappearing act hasn't helped them either. Where's Elstone with his shit eating grin parrying the blows for the board?

I think the other problem is that board is one big 'lads club' where they all have other things but like the feeling of owning a football club and enjoy the pay outs it offeres without having to keep adding money.

Spot on, it's far to cozy for them. Moyes included. There's no pressure from the fans. Without us they lose everything, EVERYTHING. But they know we will just turn up like lemings and put more money in the ever deepening pockets.
If i was going to be honest. I don't believe Moyes when he go's on about kenwrong. I honestly think he waiting for us to speak up. I bet he cant believe were taking so much ****...

I want him gone, but I can't see any realistic way of doing it which wouldn't destroy the club as a whole.
I'm estimating that nine out of ten Evertonians would cheer on Kenwright leaving Merseyside for good.
If you want to protest, the best (and only) way of doing it is to arrange one home game where pretty much everyone stays away. That's the peaceful way to get the point across, but even then you'll get a crowd of 20'000 ish even if the protest was super organised and Kenwright would still be in charge at the end of it. The only thing we'll lose are gate receipts.
It's time to get real - he's here until he dies, or someone makes him the offer he wants, which is to make a massive profit on a low investment.
There is nothing we can do.
