We are rubbish. Probably the worst we have been in a long, long time. But if the atmosphere turns toxic on Sunday things will only get worse. I've posted on here in the past, and I truly believe this the ONLY reason we survived in the 90's and the 'Smith years' was the support of the fans . We rarely turned on the team even during horrific days and I believe it is that support that saved us in days gone by. If we turn toxic like Newcastle and Leeds or lethargic like Villa and Sunderland in their relegation years we are in big trouble. Teams are now looking at us as a soft touch turning on the team will only help them especially at Goodison, so however hard it is, the team and us ourselves need each other, boos, doom and gloom will only make thigs worse. Anyone who was there at the Wimbledon game will know we cannot get in that situation again. Write off what we hoped for this year and get behind them the alternative doesn't bare thinking about.

Agree BBB.
I'm as concerned, even worried, as everybody else, but turning on the players on Sunday will not help.
Sunday and indeed the rest of this (so far) calamitous season is about supporting Everton and not crucifying individual players, at least not during the game.
Our problems lie deeper than just the team - get behind them to get a win and ease the doom and gloom.

I don't remember the 90's the same way. Plenty of booing and lethargy. Even Unsworth was singled out for rough treatment once or twice and quite a few senior players mentioned fans getting on their back - the story being they were happy to take it if it deflected it from the younger lads.

People see if they are arsed....and will get behind them. Simple.

This. Same as it ever was.

Quite right the fans turn into the 12th man again but the players have got to meet us half way now like

I don't think the bond between the fans and the club is the same, it certainly isn't there with the players, I honestly believe it wont take much for things to implode quickly on Sunday. the only question being who will get it the worst, Moshiri, kenwright or any one of the random spineless [Poor language removed] purporting to represent us on the pitch.
