Time for some optimism

Nobody is demanding more in regards to league postion IMO

What we want is a manager who can change tactics week by week instead of the same thing year in year out

What we want is a manager who attacks games that we can and should win, Games like Norwich,Reading,QPR and Wigan, Go out to batter teams and play them off the park

What we want is a manager who goes to places like Anfield and Old Trafford and trys to win instead of looking for a draw

What we want is a manager who looks at the likes of Osman and Neville and thinks "You know what those two would be ****e at CM together"

This. Undoubtedly this.

1. Keep Moyes
2. With Davie Weir looking likely for the Falkirk job, promote Big Dunc to coach U21
3. Promote Duffy to 1st team
4. Sell Fellaini for 30 million, all funds available for the Manager
5. Keep Baines offer 3yr extension to current contract
6. Phil Neville to retire end of season
7. Sign Ben Foster next season
8. Sell Johnny Heitinga
9. Give Conor McAleny a run till the end of this season along side big Vic
10. Play Barkley at CAM with Fellaini DCM with Pienaar LM and Mirallas RM
11. Sign at least 4/5 players in the summer, especially players with pace!!

Sorted!

I've sort of accepted that the season is over and I'm already looking towards what happens in the summer.

Of course, we could win every single game we have left and smash into the Champions League.

I admire people for thinking it's going to get better when we lose a brilliant manager and our best players, personally just can't see it.

I'd agree with you if we were losing a brilliant manager.

I still have hope, but it's tough to be optimistic. I can't even fathom what sort of manager Kenwright will look for in the summer.

Kenwright hired Moyes. So Moyes fans should actually be more optimistic of a solid replacement based on Kenwright's track record than those people who don't rate moyes.

Haha - why do you persist with these condescending posts? It's as though you think you're the only one who can see that Moyes isn't the second coming of Rinus Michels.

There are many tactically astute managers earning a lot less money than David Moyes, but these upwardly mobile types, such as Laudrup or Villas-Boas, wouldn't last two transfer windows at Everton because they don't need to worry about where their next job is coming from. They'd just walk out, and we'd be back to square one.

I'm convinced the next manager will be a yes man first and foremost. Kenwright won't worry about dropping a few league places - after all, finishing top ten is a massive achievement for a club like Everton, remember.

Dont know what to think, Martinez has his team in the relegation zone, fair enough he might have a lack of resources but people are demanding more off moyes despite his lack of funds too.

Id just like to see moyes given a chance with a £10+ net spend for one window then judge him, would he still play Neville?

Moyes spent £15m on Bily the Russian who was a total waste of time and money.

Moyes is as good a manager for finding bargains in the transfer market as anyone to manage in england in the last twenty years. I don't see how that can be disputed even if you don't rate any other part of the job he does.
