Time for a rethink... and a role for Barkley ?

So did Rom, still went for 90 mil.

Ross is an excellent players but prone to the occasional bad game, saying otherwise just seems daft.

I did say earlier mate, he is decent, far from "excellent" though IMO.

Prone to the occasional bad game? I would say his Everton career has been very hit and miss thus far.

As one of the focal points of the side last season, 5 goals, 8 assists, and played well for half a season, that's not really excellent is it?

The only half of football so far this year that we looked dangerous and exciting was the first half against split at home. We played with 2 wingers, the fullback had somebody to give the ball to that wasn't inside and we were able to stretch a defense.
We have bought klassen, sigurdsson, Rooney and maybe even vlasic would want to play in the position Barkley played. We are now trying to get those players to play wide and you want to add Barkley to that list?another player who has proven he can't play wide. More square pegs in round holes....great idea!!!
Aside from that he's injured and wants to leave.....worst article I've read on GOT in a long time

Barkley is a better option to create chances with a torn hamstring than the shower of rubbish that call themselves creative players currently, there's just no cohesion and as I pertained to before Ross has one thing in his locker that none of our current #10s can do and that is run with the ball at pace past opposing defenders, Yes he loses it and yes he can be frustrating with his decisions but he gives the opposition something to think about and that can create space for others as well.

If he stays I hope people get back behind him.

I'd have DCL before either, his pace and enthusiasm get him in for me. And he's proved he can slot.
Why not have two foreward play 4-4-2?
Play a better faster defence with just GANA as our one defensive midfielder (LeeCarsley did it for years)- we may improve?
Ross is just as big of a miss as Lukaku so we have to reajust!

Do you not think we would of signed someone if he signed for Chelsea ?
No. Why would selling Barkley be connected to signing someone?
You're being a bit obtuse here - do you mean we needed the £35 million to finance the signing of a centre forward OR do you mean we needed to buy a replacement for Barkley?
Either way, it's pure speculation and your guess is as good as mine.
For the record, my guess is that we completely messed up the signing of a centre forward and that this had nothing at all to do with whether Barkley went to Chelsea, Spurs, Melchester Rovers or Marine FC.

Pure speculation is correct but either way Barkley has done us no favours here ... certainly not going to be our saviour !

After sitting through that shitshow yesterday, why not give it a go.

I would certainly agree that Barkley has done us no favours, although hhe obviously has his reasons for turning down the Chelsea move.
As for whether he could be our saviour, I suspect you and I will never agree on that, but I respect your point of view.
