Time for a rethink... and a role for Barkley ?

The opening fixtures were tough, everybody knew that.

We have lost to last seasons 1st and 2nd, rather easily mind you in both circumstances.

Barkley isn't and never will be the answer to anything. I appreciate people will use him as some now mystical worldy that we cannot do without, but that's just complete piffle.
We drew this corrosponding fixture last season first game - Barckley and a certain Del Boy played - Ghana was our one defensive midfielder- it was 1-1 not a humiliation like yesterday!

He was our only defensive midfielder we now have two far too defensive Ghana Gauye was a bargain buy why fetch snider in?
This seems to be replicated in other midfield positions that's our proble two for each midfield place!
Joey bro, he's from Senegal and it's dead racist to say that someone from there is from Ghana.

I would much prefer it if Barkley was back and an option. He can be frustrating but sometimes players with that spark can be frustrating. He can be a match winner / changer though, his cross to Lukaku last season, little touch for Mirallas at west brom away. I hope we keep hold of him as we don't seem to have that impact so far this season at least.

And I agree with what you say wrt the fact that he may gain confidence and start to play more instinctively and quickly with Rooney, as that's how Rooney plays, and it would rub off on Barkley. Let's hope Koeman gives him another opportunity, and that he takes it.

Barkley doesn't want to be here, we all need to get over it and look to build for the future.

It's like begging the half decent looking bird you've been with for a while to stay with you, pleading you'll change and things will be good.

It's embarrassing, he wants out, let him go! Get over it! Move on!
