Time for 4-4-2?

Like the 5-3-2 idea you've been flogging it for some time but Moyes is a stubburn bugger and won't listen to you Knigtbreed. Yobo and Lescott can cover the fullbacks (sorry wingbacks) when needed.

I think it's a cracking and workable idea to be fair. Neville and Baines are capable wing backs and with Castillo/Felliani in the hole its very workable. But we aint the boss are we.

Yes, I think with Saha looking dangerous every time he's been in for us, and Cahill looking to be out for a few matches, that it's time to put Saha and Yakubu together up front.

...................Howard.................

Neville.....Jags.....Yobo.....Lescott

Osman...Fellaini...Castillo....Arteta

...........Saha.......Yakubu...........

If Osman goes under the knife, then I don't know how we'd stack our midfield up.

I reckon Hibbert played himself back into the starting XI on Sat.

Against Newcastle, we'll see the same team as on the weekend with Saha in for Cahill...
Would like to see Castillo for Neville, but you just know that Moyes always has to fit him in somewhere.

If Hibbert plays against Liege and Neville is in midfield I definatly think it's time for a change, these negative tactics don't work and hopefully Moyes is sort it out and play positively.

I'm happy to go 4-4-2, I've been crying out for it all season to be honest. Saha is too good to leave out, he's one of the most talented players in our squad and guarantees 18-20 goals a season.

Against Liege I'd play Cahill alongside Castillo, Osman and Arteta cutting in from the flanks and Saha and Yakubu leading the line. Both Saha and Yakubu can drop deep and get hold of the ball if need be.

I agree on Hibbert but that puts Neville in the midfield.

And since we know Davey won't drop Neville....

You never know, Moyes might want to "rest" a few players for the Newcastle game.

Also i think in light of our new style of hoofball that it might be worth going back to basics, you know back in the day didnt they have formations such as 3-2-5, i honestly think that would work, we could go with.

Howard

Jags
Yobo
Lescott

Arteta
Felliani

Big Vic
Yakubu
Saha
Vaughan
Cahill

Depends on the game i wouldnt be getting rid of a system that has served us well down the years based on a few results, i think whats needed is confidence not a compleate overhaul.

Depends on the game. Against teams like Arsenal or United you would have to play 4-5-1. I would play 4-4-2 at home unless its against a top 4 team, and then play teh 4-5-1 formation away tbh...Just makes sense, bit more defensive when you have abit less support etc...

I could not see any thing wrong and I recorded it on sky and checked it and still found nothing wrong:@

Yes i did the same thing, total joke, he never even touched the keeper, im just glad that it was cleared off the line, cos if it went in and it didnt stand, i would have gone looking for Riley, i swear..........

In reality the manager should have players on the field and on the be4nch to play 4-5-1, switch to 4-4-2, 4-3-3 or even 10-0-0.

Why is that so hard for our manager?:@

Part of me wishes he had scored so we could justifiably say we wuz robbed.

But after last year all i wanted was a fair match, didn't want to have to go through that [Poor language removed] again so i'm kinda glad he missed.

This implies that you believe we did get a fair match ?

I think Rileys performance whilst [Poor language removed] across the board still showed a significant bias to the Redshite. Not quite on a par with Twatenburg but still woefull:@

Yak being taken out in the penalty area by Skrtel

Skrtel trying to derobe Fellaini in the penalty area

The instant Card for big Fell's nothing tackle whilst those in red can wonder round kicking ten bells out of our lads (Cahill should have turned around and dropped that [Poor language removed] - i would have)

The reluctance to apply the letter of the law of clear cut incidents to those in red - Kicking the ball away is a straight yellow - Oh not if your in red - its just a ticking off.

Its because he's one of those ******** refs who'll dish out yellow cards for minor incidents just to keep a high profile, renowed intense game calm. He did for the Chelsea Man Utd game the previous week didnt he? Dish out yellows for nothing challenges
