By far and away our best tackler. I think his positioning has improved but he's still guilty of switching off. He's clearly improving though, which is all you can ask for. He's played nowhere near as much football as Garner and Gueye, which needs to be remembered.

From Nyarko to Makelele in a month. Lad's clearly got the right mindset. Could have easily crumbled after not being able to do anything right and getting subbed at half time.
Does create a good problem. Do we play a midfield 3 when KDH is back, rather than play a weak 10?
4-3-3 seems more logical with the tools with have now.

I’m not sure he will, Gana is still pretty amazing, but very good to have options for rest/rotation and players competing for spots.

I love gana but I think the league and his age is starting to catch up with him.

He’s been incredible for us in both spells, and is still an option, I just think there are better options to start.

They couldn’t get the ball off him when he was driving forward, and he was breaking up their play and sticking tackles in for fun - just think he offers us more going forward than Gana does.

Agreed, you'd imagine the coaching staff would back themselves to fix that. Would take him up another level

If you showed me just that I'd say it's exactly what our midfield needs, a physical tackling beast who can get the ball up the pitch too.

If he shows that consistently between now and June it totally changes my outlook on what we need

I must have compared his driving ability to Yaya a million times. Glad he sees that in himself as he has that kind of potential. That is the type of player he reminds me of. If he can be our Yaya, that kind of ability will break games wide open. We lack that counter attacking threat without him.

We don't get much right at West Brom nowadays but our Academy is second to non and so pleased to see Tim and Morgan Rogers who I saw play in the West Brom youth teams doing so well.
