Thought he'd done okay whenever he featured this season but well out of his depth tonight.

This for me. Has came on recently and added a bit of dymanism but couldn't set himself up properly this evening. Hugely disappointing performance.

Today was his day to stake his claim for that spot, he knew it, and he blew it.

If it was just a bad game you could accept it more. But with that attitude, that wasn't a lad trying to stake his claim..

Wasn’t just on Tim tonight, there were so many terrible performances in blue, but if you’re trying to stake a claim to cover gana at afcon, that’s not the way to do it.

Highlights one of my frustrations with Moyes. We are so predictable in our pattern of play, wide to Grealish/Ndaiye and if they are covered by opposition which Newcastle did well, attack stops to play square.
Knowing we had lost Gana, surely it was merited to tweak the formation to look to minimise the loss of his strengths.

As stated, he merely replaces him with a player who has limited experience in the prem and weakens the team dynamic.

WAtching us playing, I think the service to our strikers is very limited and we do not attempt to play through balls for them to run on to enough.

My views based on what I see. Some may disagree.

Playing high against a much faster team was a managerial decision. Hung out to dry by Moyes. Even then, Jordan had a mare and we were losing anyhow.

When was a hero? Was it when he looked average/okay for 20 min when subbed on?

He has always stunk the place out. When he was first signed peoples hopes outweighed the facts and a couple of good half dribbles (that came to nowt/where he ultimately lost the ball) were hailed as evidence of a midfield genius. Simply not good enough.

Hes never a premier league player, Alcaraz should have started with KDH playing deeper. Cant even be arsed moaning about how crap he was, not his fault.

Anyone who's watched him play can see he's not good enough for the Premier League, like a fair few in our squad. Moyes should also have seen that and set the team up differently, although it was such a poor defensive performance I'm not sure it would have mattered.
