Tim Howard

Yeah but putting that to one side what does he do that TH doesn't do

Commands his area and constantly talks to defenders, building a level of trust and confidence between the back four and keeper which is severely lacking when Howard has been there.

Everything a basic goalkeeper should do commands his box keeps clean sheets, etc etc!

Sorry folks, my comment was along the lines of 'What have the Romans ever done for us?'

Back in December, Sky Sports did a piece on Tim so some of the stats might be different now but it gives an idea, here is the link to the article and some main notes below: http://www.skysports.com/football/n...ssure-at-everton-with-questions-over-his-form

  • Tim Howard currently has the second highest amount of crosses not claimed(coming to collect a high ball in the box and missing) at 4 in the Premier League.
  • A recent run of games this season saw Everton concede five of nine goals not just from headers, but from headers inside the six-yard box, instances where Howard would be expected to leave his line and clear the danger.
  • In the 2014/15 season, Tim Howard was third in most errors leading to goals by goalkeepers with 4 errors. Rob Green was first with 6 errors.
  • Last season, Tim Howard had the worst save percentage in the Premier League from goalkeepers with at least 6 starts, with a save percentage of 59.26.
  • During the same season, Tim Howard's save ratio inside the penalty area was the lowest in the league at 50.65 percent.

He's hardly a balloon mate. Honestly all this hate is clouding folks judgment on a grand servant who should be sent packing with cheers ringing in his ears, not a load of self loathing bile from flutes who now think Robles is the new Binman!

He definitely is a prize balloon, coming out in the press and constantly bigging himself up instead of acknowledging his poor form and looking to fix it. All while belittling the fans who rightly criticised his form, basically saying they and the media know nothing because they haven't played the game at the level he has. He absolutely deserves abuse and ridicule

Moyes' last season he was an unholy train wreck of a footballer, his worst season for us probably. And there's a few to pick from
Just having a look through the games in Moyes' last season.

Timmy the clown conceded crap goals that a goalkeeper would save against, Aston Villa, Newcastle x2 (LOL at that game), Norwich, Stoke and more but I can't be arsed looking up it all up. Up until March that season when he came back in for Mucha he was absolutely horrific.

That proves he's now crap, ya don't need a load of Greek salad from sky to nail that boyo!

Didn't someone in here ask for stats before?

I meant a balloon in goalkeeping terms, as an individual he sounds a complete weapon, probably like most pro's tbf.
