Tim Howard

The stats don't show that, though. Not for this season.

They really, really do...

There's no defending Howard ultimately.

He's been a top player for us but Martinez should have dropped him ages ago.

I could understand the logic of having him in when we had a young back four with Coleman, Jags, Baines etc all injured but he didn't put in the performances when required.

It's easy to just state that. Show me the stats that show that. All the goalkeeping stat I see for this season just show that Howard has been playing behind a defense that can't be bothered defending and has faced more shots on target per match than anyone this side of Sunderland.

I can't find any stats that show Howard flying out of his box to slide tackle Jagielka, go absailing on his 6 yard line against Stoke and Arsenal, or mistake Andre Ayew for a football and leather him across County Road. You're right mate, the stats and numbers don't detail those things, you win, Howard is great

An average keeper at best in his prime -imo!

In his prime I would say he was good and I was never disappointed that we didn't sign another keeper. He did also have an incredibly solid Moyes defence in front of him which is a big help!

He then had an average season with a few mistakes in Moyes' last season or two.

Then in Roberto's first season we was good and we brought in a record points total.

Last season he was poor and the defence started to look uncomfortable passing to him or trusting him to come for balls in the box and this year he has become painful to watch. My heart races every time the opposition get on the wings to put in a cross.

This is all just my opinion of course but not a single person could argue that he has been actually good for the last 18 months barring the very occasional good game.

Moyes' last season he was an unholy train wreck of a footballer, his worst season for us probably. And there's a few to pick from
