You can see the defenders don't trust him one bit, get a decent keeper in and we might become half decent!

Made three saves, came out to punch crosses (isn't that what everyone is screaming at him to always do?), distributed the ball well for once. What more do you want? Are you upset because he wasn't marking Dele Alli for the goal?

No youre a bit confused there. People do want him to come out for crosses and where appropriate punch them..once..and with precision and purpose. Not like a pi*sed up kamikaze Norman Wisdom.

Lloris sees a ball played in behind the defence 10 meters ahead of him - comes out and snaps it up.

Howard sees the same - Stones lets the ball fall so that he can pick it up, he doesn't, then proceeds to let Stones faff about, remains glued to his line at all time, didn't even go slightly to the side of the goal to offer a pass to clear it.

Okay mate.

Trying to have reasoned debates here, lets not finish posts off with snide remarks like 'okay mate.' please.

Lloris is a world class keeper, Howard is not. Lloris is renowned for his ability to come off his line like a rocket. Also the way we were defending with a much deeper line to spurs Lloris is a sweeper keeper unlike howard so balls past their defensive back line were more patently obviously Lloris'. Like I wrote after the last game, I'm not doubting we need a new keeper but Martinez's style means we dally with it with centre backs more than most teams.

I lost count of the number of times he booted it to their defenders...he was shocking at every cross and it i so clear the defenders dont trust him.

even deulofeu, besic and coleman didnt want to make simple passes back to him and as for stones and mori they were making world class cruyff turns so they didnt have to use him.

he is dreadful.

Fair enough about the first line I guess.

We do dally about with it a bit more, but so do Spurs. And that's a situation where you'd think a youth team keeper would come and sweep up the ball, let alone an experienced international GK who's been at several world cups.

And the situation I talked about, the ball was in the air for about a minute, T-HoW could've moved, had plenty of time, Stones even anticipated it by letting it drop behind him, yet no movement whatsoever. How is this not some kind of trust issue?

He got beaten twice from outside the box (both luckily hit the woodwork), once inside which wasn't too far away from him, flapped at a cross as he normally does and - still - can't kick a ball.
I love when Howard gets criticized for not saving a shot that hits the woodwork. Really sums up the attitude of Everton fans towards him.
