Tim Howard

the fact that you can count how many saves he's made 16 games into the season shows how poor he is.
Don't be ridiculous. The fact that I can count how many saves he's had when we had a lead shows how poor the whole team has been. I couldn't come close to counting the number of saves Howard's made this season overall, because it's one of the highest numbers in the league. We haven't really had a lead very often so far this season.

Vardy and Mahrez are going to have him for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner and supper
You Know what we will raise our game and concentration levels next week and probably win easy, its whe we play the lesser teams we only put in 45 minutes of effort in!
RM has to get his act together, on set pieces especially corners though, if it is Tim the give Robles a chance on a run in the team, and that would prove that either its tim's fault or not on crosses?

If Tim Howard was from Kenya would the Americans have listed as much in here?

That's the question.

Probably not. Certainly not a stick to beat folks with, is it? Would the Argentine folks logged on if More Fun wasn't here? Or the Bosnian lids if Besic signed?

I count myself in the massive minority of American Everton fans who were blues prior to Howard.

Interesting to see Butland flapping at a last minute cross at WHam that could have lost them the game.Reading this thread I thought it was only Howard who did that.

If Tim Howard was from Liverpool, would he get as much abuse?

That's the other question.

Absolutely he would. More is demanded from the local players. Barkley is testament to that.
Howard gets abuse because he's basically declined to the point that he consistently costs us points, not because of where he's from.

Yesterday was actually a fantastic save from the corner as well, he was really unlucky but unfortunately apart from being a bit of a tit himself in goal on numerous occasions , he has 3-4 other tits in front of him who don't seem to be able to head the ball. It's like having a team of Koldrups at the back every corner.

A pretty simplistic comparison do you not think? Overall Butland has been in form this season, therefore less likely to be criticised for an error.

Howard on the other hand has not been in form at all, and personally I'd suggest he is now regularly suspect in many aspects of his game.

I'm not suggesting our current defensive frailties are all his fault, but I do think he is becoming a significant aspect of it.

Arguably a good keeper underpins their defence through their communication, management and performance: this instils confidence.

Howard far too often flaps at balls, or simply doesn't come out at all being static on his line. Nor does he effectively communicate with his defence.

Therefore no wonder we're conceding from so many set pieces or crosses. Obviously the defenders have aspects of culpability, but it's mainly Tim.

That's not being sensationalist, overly critical or part of some vendetta against him. It's just the facts and I was a long time admirer of Tim.
