You're usually superb at sifting through jarg.
And this most certainly is jarg.

Don't LA G have Cole, Gerrard and Keane as their players who they can break the pay structure for?
Tim isn't going to go over there for 60k a year when he's paid that per week here.

Come on Ijj. You have a John Stones moment there. Switched off.

I just want to be happy for a bit mate. Deep down its obvious jarg. But I want to beleive it for a bit. At least 24 hours.

Tim Howard

Received news from a in law who is very high up at ESPN and he's saying Tim Howard to LA Galaxy is nearly done. LA Galaxy originally wanted to wait till the summer as this is what Howard said at the start of season, however a very good offer from Colarado turned his head and LA Galaxys hand was forced to match it. This is now guess work but Howard is expected to fly out tonight to complete the deal/personal terms etc. Martinez will wait till the summer as he feels Griffiths is a adequate back up to Joel.
I'd be happy if this was true but I can't see Martinez saying that Griffiths is reasonable cover for Joel. He's only ever played non-league football and Martinez has been going on about experience in the GK position for ages.

nope, they didnt.

from official MLS site
"The Designated Player Rule allows clubs to acquire up to three players whose salaries exceed the maximum budget charge, with the club bearing financial responsibility for the amount of compensation above each player’s budget charge. Designated Players may be new players signed to MLS via the Allocation Ranking List, Discovery Process or can be re-signed existing players on a team’s roster.
Each club has two Designated Player spots and clubs are allowed to “purchase” a third Designated Player spot for an annual fee of $150,000 that will be dispersed in the form of Allocation Money to all clubs that do not have three Designated Players. Clubs will not have to buy the third DP roster spot to accommodate Designated Players 23 years old and younger."

And signing Nigel de Jong too apparently. Can't see Howard going just yet personally.

Even the US national team has dropped Howard for Robles. Come on RM, do the deed.
