Who thinks he's doing a good job? Not me. Memory not so good Joe? Maybe you should keep those glasses so you can read the posts here.
Oh seems you defend him some days, at least @Dithering Doug keeps to his convictions, keeps on getting banned though!
Unless I have mistaken you for another poster maybe apologies in advance if I have!

I don't think he's as terrible as some are making out.

He's not perfect, but I think i've seen every keeper except for De Gea drop clangers this season, some repeatedly.
Tim often gets the blame when it isn't his fault. Some Evertonians are an embarrassment, hounding out players from the the Club.

I keep seeing this belief pop up that Tim Howard can do no wrong in (ignorant) American Evertonian eyes, so I wanted to say this, because I think it's important for non-American Evertonians to understand.

Howard is part of the most impactful and significant generation of soccer players this country has ever produced. That group has set a new standard for US Soccer, and they've given this country some of its most memorable sporting moments in decades.

You can laugh at our history and the fact we call it soccer, but the buzz surrounding our national team during the past two World Cups is something we haven't experienced since the 1980 men's hockey team. Ten years ago you could hardly find a bar that was showing the matches, in 2014 you couldn't find a table to sit down and watch. There are a lot of people who are going to tell their children stories about watching Donovan, Dempsey and Howard the way my dad told me stories about Mickey Mantle.

So if you're in this country and you have a genuine appreciation and fondness for the sport, you're going to love Howard. And it has nothing to do with us thinking he's the best keeper on the planet and everything to do with how important he's been to the growth of the game in the US.

And if you're an American Evertonian who understands the sport and wants the club to win, you're able to reconcile the above with the fact Howard isn't good enough anymore. Some might cling too tight to Howard, but the majority of us -- particularly those who watch every week at ludicrous hours in the morning -- know it's time for a change.

Anyway, COYB, where's the Naismith money Bill and something about Chico.

I'm an American and before I ever was a USMNT fan I was an Everton fan. The most I can say is he is responsible for much of the growth in interest with the game I've seen here but I can cut him no slack because I would give up on any more progress in the game here (America) to see Everton win a title in my lifetime without a second thought. He is hurting the team and Joel isn't the long term solution in my eyes but he would do better than Howard currently.

Find me a post where I've defended or said we don't need another keeper in the last several months. Been saying I don't rate him and we need another keeper for months now. Even the posts from yesterday aren't defending him in any way, yet because I'm a Yank you assume they are. Reading comprehension not your strong suit?

There's a big difference between defending a player and understanding that not every goal conceeded is his fault or that another keeper wouldn't have us top 4 because our defense is also a major problem.
