Can't blame him for yesterday Joe it's was yet more naive defending in front of him and some great finishing mate.
3rd and the 4th goal Doug - 3rd he came out to a wicked bending cross flapped instead of punching also took the ball away and from Mori , and flattened him if you come out as a Keeper Doug you have to make it your ball or give it a damn good punch - the 4th goal doug stays stuck on his line when he should have been out to the through ball to kick it clear or dive on it instead Stones did not trust him so he made a last ditch tackle and just gets his studs on the ball Tims the there in position 5 minutes late to pick the ball up!!!!
The 2nd goal was imo a fluke but again its Tim reluctance to stand on his six yard line even the MOTD pundits stated to Butland if the stoke winger does that to him everyday in training Butland should stay further back on his line watch the MOTD pundits Doug their words not mine!
Robles has to come in evidently Tim lost it with the fans who were there yesterday Doug - the only way we will find out if we have a poor defence is to play Robles with our strongest team!
we now have injuries with McCarthy , and Cleverly another 3 points in the dustbin Doug!

Imagine a manager asking his team to try and beat a goalkeeper!

Some clever thinking that. Its so crafty you could pin a tail on it and call it a fox.

Never mind goal line technology or changing the offside rules this is the sort of thing FIFA should be looking into changing.

Haha excellent, rep for that Douglas.

He's still lost it though, sorry.

Are you suggesting opposition teams are targeting a goalkeeper?

What ever next...

What ever next? I don't know maybe a forum where people don't deliberately interpret things incorrectly just for a cheap gag? Just kidding we will never have that. ;)

While every team targets a goalie in a sense it is not remotely fair to imply that every goalie would warrant a team to change their tactics to target him specifically.

"Let's change our usual game-plan to exploit how easily the goalie is pulled out of position" isn't something everyone tries to do against every goalie because some of them can command their box and mostly deal with that tactic so it would be a waste of time to focus your entire attack like that. They are not wasting their time by changing their tactics to target our Tim -- and in fairness our defence in turn -- which is the most recent notable part of the utter wet garbage dump that is his goalkeeping since he had a couple of good games at the World Cup
