This type of arrogance is exactly why he is so poor. He's in a huge comfort zone where he no longer believes he needs to improve his game or respond to any criticism. He wasn't telling fans to look at the stats last season when he was statistical the worst keeper in the league by some distance.

nailed it. spot on. GK's are different because there's only 1 position on the field, every other position is likely to have more more competition.

A lack of serious competition for his position is ruining Everton. Reminds me of what Joe Hart was like start of next season. Has a good WC and then lives off his own hype.
