The point is that in the NFL, even terrible teams can dream of making that one great coaching hire and finding that next great QB. And the great NFL franchises aren't great b/c of being "big" they are great b/c they are well-run organizations - more or less teams are on equal economic footing. the closest we have to the Prem is the MLB where the Yankees and LA teams can outspend everyone, but now we are finding there that the smaller markets can compete if they allocate their funds correctly. I thought we were well on our way to being the Moneyball team of the Prem, but it's looking at current like that squad is Southampton, which is frustrating.
