Howard gets an N/A for tonight, literally, what did he have to do? he had that one easy save from a speculative effort from mendes and i remember him having to punch the ball away once.

i haven't seen a keeper have so little touches in a match since...well casillas on tuesday - but that's not the point, i mean he didn't even have to come and catch a cross all night? poor performance from tim, utterly annonymous.

For all the talk of us needing a centre half or a winger, I think our priority should be a new goalie. Howard has cost us so many points. The wall was poor today, but Howard was so far over, he got nowhere near it. The same goes for the Gerrard goal in the derby. He also cost us at home vs Palace, just off the top of my head this season. We need to be ruthless and get rid of the deadwood. I don't feel confident in Howard at all, and I feel we should go in the market for a new keeper.

Couldn't agree more mate. I haven't even seen Sunderland free kick yet but I wouldn't be surprised if he's 8 miles too far across as usual. Decent Premier League keeper for sure but not good enough for us. We need a top top keeper because thems the ones that wins you points!!

That is one turd wall that isn't it. Looks like one I attempted for my mum's back garden when I was a nipper. ffs sick of watching him flapping at fresh air. Just not good enough. The beard can stay but Howard must go.

Commentators were saying how "clever" he was there but let's face it - it could have easily been deemed as obstruction and a free kick given. He should've just played it safe and wellied it.

Barkley moves out the way of it, not Howard's fault this time. You're correct about the derby though.

It looks to me like the wall is way too far over to the right hand side of the goal. It curls past Barkley and still goes in about a yard inside the post.

Although its hard to tell exactly from that vine. Due to the position of the ball the wall does need to be wide of the post incase a left footer curls it round but only having 4 in it with a gap between 2 other players isn't right.

Tim's got that wrong i think, gave Larsson the gap and he exploited it.

Surpised it wasn't given as an indirect free kick for obstruction, having said that after the game Mason had I not really.
