Tim Howard

Ha? He was in no mans land for the goal against City, and against West Ham he gave Valencia allof the goal to shot at and then stayed on his line for the Cole goal when he should have come for the ball. It's not even worth mentioning the Newcastle or Hull games either.

1:30 WTF even was that. Howard is awful. Much, much rather Robles from here on out.

I wouldn't mind him staying for a couple more years, as long as it is as a number two.

The question should be whether Joel is good enough to become the number 1 keeper, or whether we need to look for someone in the Summer. And this is the perfect opportunity to give him until the end of the season to show us what he can do.

I can put up with the odd goal let in by a keeper and a few bad kicks. But with Howard he does some crazy things which make me question his sanity.

That game when he dived onto the ball outside the box. In another game he came way to far out to clear a ball and kicked it right to the opposition, he then had to sprint back to his goal.

He's either really good or utter gash. That kind of inconsistency is not what you want from a keeper.

If he's used the time he's been recovering from injury to straighten out his head then good, but unless Joel nauses up big time in the next two or three games, he should remain and Howard should be on the bench. Joel has improved and in my opinion is more commanding in the air and I don't sense any undue nervousness amongst the back four towards him, and that could not be said this season about their interaction with Howard.
