I think he's been very poor so far this season. I dont think we should drop him altogether, i do think leaving him out for a game or 2 would benefit him and us.

That's what I'm thinking. Surely if a player thinks they'll never be dropped, they're less likely to put 100% effort in all the time?

A game or two on the bench, for someone like Howard will be painful, and he'd no doubt strive to improve himself.

if i was to blame TH on anything it would be it seems to go too low when he is expecting a shot at his near post and then just doesnt have the spring to get up and save it( sagna goal) but no way should he take the rap for that freekick i mean did you see how close it was to the post and the height it came in at

personally i dont see him as been one of the guys that should be dropped, Mucha is a great shot stopper for sure but not as commanding

I'm a big fan, and now even I'm starting to worry (for Everton and USMNT). Listening to his interviews, this stuff gets to him, big time. And I mean big time. So I'm a little worried about his confidence after a 4 goal game.

He did throw his body at the free-kick - the entire goal rattled after he hit the post, though a little bit late. He looked like he mis-timed it a bit, though the shot was spectacular.

I wish I could judge him now when almost the entire team isn't all over the shop too.

I dunno... I want him to get better badly.

Can we go get Brad Guzan? He's sitting on his butt at Aston Villa and has been awesome as a backup keeper to the US team... I trust him more than Mucha. He'd be a bargain.

Oh, and the game against Chelsea is NOT the time to put in your new trial keeper. Not the time to be newly communicating with someone in your net.

Guzan is not nearly as good as Howard. Plus Villa is high on him and he will be the heir apparent. They won't sell him.

Mucha seems like a turd, but Howard hasn't been good. He needs to sit a game or two. If Mucha also stinks it up well it will just mean he's fitting in nicely with this squad.

Of course all the Americans back their man. Stop burying your head in the sand, he's been quality for us in the past but well below par this season.

Told ya we should have signed Tony Meola while we had the chance.

Every American on this board says Howard needs to be benched a game WTF are you talking about?

If all players were required to sit based on their performace this season, we'd be left with 4-5 starters. I just don't feel there is a better option to help us put up 3 points, regardless of nationality.
