Best thing I can say about him is, he wasn't the worst keeper I've seen at Everton.

It wasn't Howard's fault he was picked for the last 18 months, despite being well past his best. This 'soured' his relationship with the fans, when in all truth, it was Martinez's fault in picking him. I'd like to remember Howard as the competent keeper (nothing more) that he was for the majority of his time here.

Correct. At a time where we had Joseph Yobo at centre back he was fine.

His last season tarnished his Everton career but he was without a doubt a very good keeper at his best but he wasn't helped by the decline of our defence under Martinez.

FWIW He was past his prime when he finished with us, it's just a shame he had Martinez's defense infront of him. No one deserves that!

It's a shame Martinez hung him out to dry and ruined his relationship with some of the Goodison faithful.
