Tim Cahill's autobiography

I remember going to watch Cahills Austrailia play against the Republic a couple of years back, he was absolutely different gravy compared to other players on the pitch movement was unbelievable.

Even during last years World Cup with him coming to the end he was impressive.

Don't think he got the credit he deserved, could have played in any Everton team in my opinion.

You are entitled to your opinion but to quote big Clint " Opinions are like arseholes - everyone has got one"

Maybe he should never have piped up backing Kenwright and co but he's usually got something to say and as far as he was concerned everything was rosy. Cracker little player to have in the team always making a nuisance of himself to the opposition and knew where the goal was. very effective without being a fancy Dan.

A pop at Martinez was a given. I thought the OP was being a bit mischievous with the bit he picked out about Moyes.

I picked that bit out because the scan of it has been doing the rounds on Twitter (as I mentioned) and that it is a topic that is very relevant at the moment.

Don't really think its mischievous or unfair at all; it goes some way to illustrating why things are the way they are now.

Same with the set pieces - read Ossie's book. Practised them endlessly under Moyes, never practice them under Martinez.

Couldn't read the grasses book.

"Met some Aussies a few weeks ago and they all said Cahill was an arrogant nasty piece of work. All met him a few times personally apparently and love him as a player but not as a person."

I had it from someone within the club, that despite his fabulous attitude on the park in a blue shirt and immense popularity with us on the terraces, TC could be incredibly arrogant and self-centred especially when needed for PR assignments, photo-shoots etc and particularly when flanked by his best mate Mikel Arteta.

We need nasty arrogant snides on the pitch, get enough of them and we start winning derbies

I often think that people in this country don't realise what a major deal he was abroad.

If he had played for a media darling - a London club, or Utd, City or LFC, he'd been openly talked about as a Premier League great (which he actually is).
