PMSL...I wouldn't call that conclusive proof but there's no reason for me to make up random BS about stuff like that as I love Tim as much as anyone else.

Haha, the video itself is not conclusive evidence, but his facebook blurb attached to the video is:

Think his last kick of a ball for us was away at Motherwell in pre season.

My generation's big dunc, Everton through and through. Could have got a big move at his peak and have the feeling he would have laughed it off. Absolutely loved Everton.

Has and will always be a bigger Evertonian than Wayne Rooney

The reason I'm an Everton fan. Was following Aussies all round the place but never really fell in love with a club. Loved Viduka, Schwartzer, Lazaridis but Cahill just got the blood pumping. Hated Liverpool for years before, bc Craig Johnston wouldn't play for Australia; and Kewell was a pure [Poor language removed] (and RS). So when Timmy signed for Everton it was a match made in heaven. As Timmy fell in love with the Blues so did I. I'd gone for Everton before (bc of the RS) but now it was in my blood. The Blues make sense to us Aussies. Best club, daylight second.
Can't understand him getting any crap here. I'd blame Martinez for his form/worth to the team.
Still was brilliant after - WC, Asian Cup, US, China, AL. Check out the goals :hayee:
Best Australian footballer ever. Broke all the records.
Epitomised Everton attitude and commitment, one of the all time greatest headers of the ball, incredible sense of space and time, underrated skills.
And he leaves a legacy for guys like Davies to aspire to.

yep
if memory serves me correctly cabaye was trying to bully another lid in blue and TC set him straight

is right Timmy lad

Just reached the section of his book about the sending off. Everyone myself included assumed it was because of cabayes antics shoving the ball boy but in his book he says he was on the bench when that happened and while it annoyed him that wasn't the reason he got him by the throat at the final whistle. Apparently when he came on as sub cabaye kept saying "f## your mum" repeatedly to him. TC at first didn't think he knew what he was saying but he kept going, then TC told him to apologise but he kept saying it throughout the remainder of the game. His mum is his cryptonite and he just lost it completely. He tried to snap him a few times in normal play but ended up choking him at final whistle. Apparently after he was sent off both his dad and brother contacted him and both knew straight away that cabaye had said something about his mum due to the way he lost it.

Imagine being able to transplant that heart, desire, and love for the club into the likes of Barkley's body? My lord what a player that would be.

It still wounds me to this day that he never got the send off he deserved, if ever a player typified the 'he got Everton' tag it was Tim. Unfortunately i dont think you can coach what he brought to the team, because if you could I would have him at the club ahead of every other ex-player and that includes Unsy! Fabulous bargain for us, on a similar scale to Coleman with regards to value for money. i loved the bones of the man, and still break into a big smile when i hear he has scored for Australia.

Having a look through the records, if Cahill plays in the World Cup next year (pretty good odds on that, Aussie is well-placed for qualification and TC has been selected for all the WC qualifying squads so far) he'll be the fifth-oldest outfield player to play in a World Cup Finals match in FIFA World Cup history. Much respect.

Just goes to show how the once mighty everton have fallen when people talk about Tim as a great everton player. Yes he gave 100% and at the time he was what we needed. But he was a very average player in a very average team. I feel so sorry for the young uns on this forum when they eulogise about players like Tim. Oh how I long for the good times to come back.
