I’m glad that this story is a load of bollocks, because any club that is handing out contracts based on love, or a player’s form from five years ago, is a very, very unprofessional football club.

i know a club that does stuff like that, seems to be a policy of theirs...................... first letter E, three sylables

I want him back, his goalscoring record is misleading as well, he's been playing in holding midfield for NYRB. He's a legend and I think it would be great to have him in the squad as a different option for a couple of months.

We're playing much better football without having to accommodate him. He's a legend in the minds of a lot of Blues and he'll only risk tarnishing that if he comes back.

As an extra body for a couple of months I see no harm whatsoever. Coming off the bench, even if its not to win us games and just to come on to give more vital players a rest at times.

It's a yes from me... As long as he's not starting games or being looked as a savor of any sort. You can't have to many squad players.

I'd rather him be playing for Everton than being at f*cking QPR, he loves the club ffs. I'd rather have him in the middle than Phil Neville, wouldn't you?

Of course he'll be back.

They said that about Thierry Henry going back to Arsenal and that turned out quite well. Not saying I'm totally for him coming back, but I don't think there's any harm in him coming back and strengthening our bench a little.
