Tim Cahill Goodison Return? SSN

Our squad it too thin as it is. If he comes in, adds a bit of depth for January and February it would be a good thing. Plays some cup games so that Fellaini and Gibbo can stay fit and not risk injury, gives him a chance to say goodbye properly and if someone does get injured we have an extra body who can fill CM or CAM role.

The Cahill-Neville centre mid is coming and there's nothing we can do about it.

Given that Neville's out for at least 2 months & Cahill would be banned for 3 games if he arrived back on these shores in Jan, it's about as likely as Moyes being given £20M to spend at Xmas.

It's like people are deliberately ignoring the fact he'd be useless to us for about a third of his stay because of his three match ban. Donovan made 9 appearances for us last time before going back for the MLS. Cahill would be limited to 6 if it was the same timeframe.

It's a no brainer.

Knows the clubs, would be great coming of the bench and deserves a decent send off. I imagine this was probably agreed when he was sold.

Who would you rather have on the bench - Francisco Junior or Tim Cahill?

Cahill every time for me. No he shouldn't be starting games. But as an option off the bench, midseason for 2 months... I'd have him back.

We need more than just Barkley on the bench.

If he came on Jan 1st and stayed until Feb 28, even with serving a 3 match ban, he'd be eligible from Jan 19, eligible for 5 league games, maybe some FA Cup games too if we progress. If he stayed until the end of March, that's another 4 league games, so possibly 9 league games in all, nearly a quarter of our league season even with the ban to serve.

The reason we've played better this season is because there's no Cahill in the team. He became very ineffective in his last couple of seasons with us.

I'd only take him back if there was a permanent option to buy.

Haha. You're a bad man !! The only time we miss Cahill is defending set pieces. Many's the time he headed the ball clear or did enough to put strikers off. Now Johnny looks at Jags as the ball comes in and you can clearly hear him say "Where's Timmy ffs". If we could just bring him on for Jela for a minute to defend and then swap em back we'd be Top of the League.

Get it sorted Moylez

A big IF.

Besides, he'd add nothing to the team so i fail to see the point in him coming back at all.
