Ridiculous he was ever offered a job as big as that when all he'd ever done was win a coin toss league. Huge mistake on his part not parking up his ego, to think that he could make a step up that huge so early into his managerial career was nonsense and down to him liking the smell of his own farts,
He's young and he can rebuild from this, most managers do after their first sacking, but he needs to pick his next job VERY carefully. And also, don't go on TV as a pundit talking about another club in the same division as your current team like a teenage fangirl (that night of the CL final in Paris where we worked BT was nothing short of cartoonish).
Should look for a stable club in the Championship and look to build them up (Boro would have been ideal had they not just hired Carrick). Or perhaps a move to a lesser league but still a step up from SPL, Eredivise, Portugal, France, etc. Do I think he would want to do that? Honestly no, the man's arrogance has always been his defining character trait.
