Was "stab" a Freudian slip? If, by punitive sanctions, you mean the USA refusing to trade with them, well what about the rest of the world? If you make an enemy of someone you can't really complain when they won't play with you.

Tories are killing people but not with guns.

A few and people don't make a political system bad. Fundamentally socialism is good just sometimes had bad people in charge. You can not say that about the Tories as they are evil to the core and don't care about anything but helping rich mates and trying to ensure we all stay in our low level place. Last time i looked (about 3 weeks ago) Merseyside was going from strength to strength. If the evil tories have been trying to destroy Merseyside and the nhs for decades they are being very inefficient about it. And I'm struggling to understand where supporting a certain football club means you have to hold a certain political opinion. Of course it could be that if you don't have a valid argument in a debate then just name call and villify your opponent.

Pray tell, where in Merseyside were you (3 weeks ago) because I've just been in L8 for the morning and it isn't what I would call thriving, then I'll be going to L6 this afternoon which is even worse.

Still, if your visits to Merseyside comprise of driving in going the match and driving out I'm sure you pass some lovely new student blocks all over the friggin place, if that means we are thriving then so be it.

Cuba has a net migration rate of -5.3 per 1,000 people, which is one of the worst in the world. I do wonder if the place is such a paradise why people appear to be wanting to leave it in such high numbers.

It's part propaganda that mate. Let me assure you that many Cubans are perfectly happy. I'd say more Cubans are truly happy with being in Cuba than Brits are in Britain.

Politics. Or 'current affairs'. We've never really got to grips with how best to handle this discussion on here. This is a new initiative we're trialing for a month. If it works, sound. If it doesn't - we go back to;



My own view is that we're a football forum and politics divide and cause needless angst that is detrimental to the community. Approaching 10 years in February, we've always tried to discourage political threads because of the the outcome is typically a negative one.

Still, GOT is a unique beast - lots have asked for a place to discuss current affairs and this is our 'But Ok...' and we'll review in March. It's your platform and it's down to you to make it work.

Our advice to make this forum work;
