That analogy doesn't really make sense seeing as Lennon was an inferior musician and McCartney was a much more important part of the Beatles for a long time.
Boss player for us, was suprised when he went to Real Madrid though as he was More of a grafter than a world class player.
I Think they where both grafters but Gravesen was better on the ball.Out of the two he was the playmaker but he also put a lot of effort into his game.Carsley was the grafter, not Gravesen.
Gravesen was the playmaker at teh time. Still think Madrid accidentally signed the wrong player though. They were looking for a holding player.
Absolute rubbish!Carsley was the grafter, not Gravesen.

Gravesen was very inconsistent in his first three and a half years at Goodision. He was class in his final 18 months. I think he was about to sign a new contract before Madrid came calling. When he came back on loan, he barely featured. One of our best? I wouldn't say so. I'd describe him as a cult figure.
Agreed.
Anyone waxing lyrical about his performances prior to the year we came 4th has a distorted memory imo.
The great thing about that year was so many players who'd been poor the year before (Gravesen and Martyn especially) just found an extra six gears from somewhere and started playing out of their skins.
